EU commissioner promises to ‘go after’ barriers to cross-border deals
Charlie McCreevy, the EU internal market commissioner, has warned that the commission will “tackle member states who dream up protectionist means or who seek to erect unjustified barriers to prevent cross-border deals.” McCreevy complains that not a day goes by lately “without European governments commenting on, interfering in or trying to bluntly block the free flow of capital – be it banks in or , a steel company in , energy companies in ....”
